Tackling Sexual Harassment Training For Managers is a live, CPD-certified training course for people managers, team leaders, and operational managers.
From October 2026, UK employers must demonstrate they have taken all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment – and that means ensuring line managers are properly trained. Yet this is one of the most consistently overlooked areas.
Half of all sexual harassment concerns are first raised with a line manager, yet only 31% have received any training to handle them. Leaving that gap unaddressed is not just a missed opportunity – it is a legal liability.
This course is designed to help you close it.
Delivered online via Microsoft Teams, this two-and-a-half-hour session is facilitated by Safecall’s Head of Training and covers UK whistleblowing legislation, protected disclosures, and how to respond effectively when an employee raises a concern. The course is priced at £1,495 plus VAT for up to ten participants.

Preparing Managers for legislation
In addition, the new Employment Rights Act 2025 raises the standard for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace from “reasonable steps” to “all reasonable steps” — effective October 2026.
From that date, employers will also be liable for harassment by third parties, including clients, customers, and contractors. The existing duty under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 has been in force since October 2024. Compliance with that Act is a starting point, not a finish line.
Harassment reports submitted via Safecall’s network have risen 6% over the last five years. Yet only 21% of line managers have received formal training on how to respond to concerns — and of those, just 19% received any in-person training.
That gap carries real risk.
A manager who mishandles a sexual harassment disclosure can worsen the situation significantly — exposing your organisation to tribunal claims including a potential 25% compensation uplift under the Worker Protection Act 2023.
Between July and September 2025, employment tribunal claims rose 33%. (Source: Safecall Whistleblowing Benchmark Report 2026)
This course closes that risk gap.

Tackling Sexual Harassment: The Manager’s Guide is a live, CPD-certified training course that equips people managers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond correctly when an employee raises a sexual harassment concern. It is also suitable for HR and compliance representatives, whistleblowing champions, directors, and internal investigators.

The online course runs for 2.5 hours, delivered live via Microsoft Teams. Face-to-face on-site delivery is a half-day session. Both formats are interactive and include case studies and opportunities for discussion with the facilitator.
The Employment Rights Act 2025 raises the standard for preventing sexual harassment from “reasonable steps” to “all reasonable steps”, effective October 2026. Organisations must demonstrate they took every reasonable preventative step available to them. Tribunals will assess not just what was done, but whether anything more could reasonably have been done. Trained managers are one of the most direct and documentable ways to evidence compliance.
The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, in force from October 2024, introduced a proactive duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. The Employment Rights Act 2025 raises this to “all reasonable steps” from October 2026, and adds employer liability for third-party harassment by clients, customers, and contractors. Compliance with the 2023 Act is a starting point, not a finish line under the 2025 Act.
No. eLearning addresses awareness — what harassment is, how to recognise it, how to report it. It does not address what managers must do when an employee raises a concern with them directly. Under the “all reasonable steps” standard, a completion rate on an employee eLearning module is unlikely to be sufficient evidence that everything possible was done. Live, facilitated manager training is a distinct and documentable step that eLearning alone cannot provide.
