This Global Hotline allows you to report concerns about misconduct, ethical violations, or legal non-compliance within the organization or involving organization’s personnel. NYK Group is committed to upholding the highest legal and ethical standards and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. We take all reports of suspected wrongdoing seriously and encourage employees, contractors, clients, and third parties to speak up if they have any concerns.
To support this, NYK Group has introduced an independent whistleblowing reporting service via Safecall. Reports can be made securely, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, either by phone or through an online portal. Reports can be submitted anonymously and in your preferred language.
Anonymity:
- You may choose to report anonymously. Your identity will not be collected or disclosed unless you voluntarily choose to share it.
- Anonymous reports are accepted. However, we encourage you to provide your name and any supporting evidence or clues whenever possible. Doing so helps us conduct a more effective and accurate investigation.
Protection Against Retaliation:
Anyone who reports concerns in good faith is protected from retaliation. NYK Group strictly prohibits any form of retaliation or disadvantage against whistleblowers.
Scope of Reportable Concerns:
You may report any suspected violations of laws, regulations, internal policies, or ethical standards. These may include (but are not limited to):
Fraud or Financial Misconduct
Any intentional act of deception or misuse involving company resources, assets, or financial records. Examples include falsifying accounting entries or documents, misappropriating funds, manipulating financial results, abusing company benefit programs (e.g., paid leave or expense reimbursements), stealing company property, or misreporting work hours for personal gain.
Bribery and Corruption
The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of anything of more than nominal value to or from government officials, vendors, customers, or other third parties in exchange for an unfair advantage. This includes bribery of foreign officials, falsification of records, or improper selection, negotiation, or handling of supplier or contractor relationships in violation of company policy.
Antitrust / Competition Law
Conduct that violates antitrust or competition laws by restricting free and fair competition. This may involve price fixing, bid rigging, market allocation, customer or territory division, group boycotts, or the exchange of sensitive company information with competitors.
Data Privacy Breach
Unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personal, confidential, or proprietary company information. This includes failure to implement appropriate technical, legal, or organizational safeguards to protect employee, customer, or third-party data, or misuse of intellectual property or non-public business information for purposes not aligned with legitimate business operations.
Harassment or Discrimination
Any inappropriate conduct—including unwanted advances, offensive remarks, or behavior—particularly where it creates a hostile work environment or is tied to employment decisions. This also includes unfair treatment or bias based on race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics in hiring, promotion, or compensation.
Conflict of Interest
A situation where an employee’s personal, financial, or other interests interfere—or appear to interfere—with their professional responsibilities or decision-making on behalf of the company. This includes situations where personal gain may influence company-related actions or decisions.
Unsafe Work Conditions/Health & Safety Violations
Situations or practices that compromise employee health, safety, or environmental compliance. This may include poor workplace maintenance, failure to follow safety procedures, or violations of environmental, health, or safety laws and policies.
Violation of Company Policy
Any behavior or action—whether intentional or unintentional—that contravenes company policies, the Code of Conduct, procedures, or contractual obligations. This includes disregarding established standards or expectations set by the organization.
Retaliation
Any adverse action—verbal, physical, or written—taken against an individual who has made a good faith report of a suspected compliance or ethical violation. Retaliation may include intimidation, demotion, dismissal, harassment, or other forms of discrimination.
Workplace Violence
Threats or acts of physical or verbal aggression that create a risk to the safety of employees or others in the workplace. This includes threats of harm, actual violence, or damage to company or personal property.
Other
