At OceanaGold we want our people and stakeholders to feel safe speaking up. If you have a concern about potential misconduct, you can speak up internally or you can use this hotline.
It is important to call out something which is not right – so we can prevent things from going wrong or respond if something wrong has happened.

For smaller issues, it is often easiest to raise your concern directly with the individual it involves
If you do not feel comfortable doing that or the matter is more serious, you can raise it with:
- Your supervisor
- Your supervisor’s supervisor

If you have a concern about potential misconduct you can contact:
- A person in the People and Culture team
- A person in the Legal team
- A Whistleblowing Protection Officer
- The Business Integrity team
- A member of the Executive Leadership Team

You can also report a concern about potential misconduct at any time via this confidential and independent service provided by Safecall. You can do this by phone or online, and you can choose to report anonymously.
WHO CAN SPEAK UP?
Any of the following people are encouraged to speak up about their concerns:
- Current or former employees, officers, associates and contractors of OceanaGold;
- Current or former suppliers of goods or services to OceanaGold, and their employees;
- Relatives, dependents or spouses of the above; and
- Members of the community
WHAT CAN BE REPORTED?
You are encouraged to speak up about any Potential Misconduct. When we use the phrase ‘Potential Misconduct’, we mean misconduct or an improper state of affairs or circumstances about OceanaGold and its related entities, including:
- A serious breach of our Code of Conduct;
- Any suspected or actual misconduct; and
- Anything you believe to be illegal, unethical or not in accordance with our Values.
Examples of concerns that can be raised
- Serious breaches of OceanaGold’s policies and procedures (including the Code of Conduct);
- Dishonest or unethical behaviour;
- Conflicts of interest;
- Insider trading;
- Unlawful or criminal activities;
- Misconduct endangering health and safety or causing damage to the environment;
- Misconduct that may cause financial loss to us or damage our reputation;
- Harassment (including sexual harassment), assault, discrimination, victimisation or bullying;
- Conduct that consistutes a serious offence against applicable laws such as a breach of employment or other laws that may be subject to a jail sentence of at least 12 months;
- Conduct that represents a danger to the public or the financial system; and
- Human rights abuses, including modern slavery.
